Irene’s Dream Luncheon & Boutique Shopping is a celebratory luncheon that provides an uplifting opportunity to hear triumphant stories of single minority mothers, who may ordinarily have “fallen through the cracks." They have overcome obstacles and reached potentials that would not have been achievable without a helping hand.

Carmen Anderson, Vice President for Equity and Learning for The Heinz Endowments served as honorary chair, welcoming close 200 women to the 16th annual Irene‘s Dream Luncheon at the Sheraton Station Square on April 13. Guests celebrated achievements of women supporting women through volunteer efforts and achievement of goals despite adverse conditions. Rita Deluzio was awarded the IOB volunteer award and LaShesia Holliday received the IOB grantee award. In addition, participants enjoyed the opportunity to shop at fifteen women owned local boutiques. Our generous corporate sponsors, table sponsors and donors all contributed in making the 2024 luncheon a special day in celebration of women whose stories we may not know, but whose journeys we honor and champion.
